"A stirring tale about the most courageous and inspirational person I have met in my 36 years of covering sports for The Miami Herald."
- Gary Long, The Miami Herald
"No one knows the unique facets of drag racing better than Darrell Gwynn, who began at the very bottom and, through phase after phase, rose to the very top. At Full Throttle is a book full of surprising - and interesting - inside details on the inner working of drag racing. For a great read and an intriguing lesson I recommend it highly."
- Chris Economaki, National Speed Sport News
"Darrell Gwynn's story is much more than that of a drag racer who was paralyzed in a racing accident. It is a story of love, courage and dedication, not only by Darrell, but by his family, friends, and especially his wife, Lisa. If you don't drop a tear or two as you read his story, you don't have any heart."
- Shav Glick, The Los Angeles Times
